Our Story

Our Story: The History of the French Island Cricket Club

The French Island Cricket Club was founded in the early 1900s, born from the island’s tight-knit community and a shared love of cricket. Originally played on a makeshift pitch, the club quickly became a central part of island life, bringing together locals and visitors for friendly matches and social gatherings. Over the years, the club has grown, overcoming challenges unique to island life, yet always staying true to its roots of community, camaraderie, and the joy of the game. Today, the club continues to be a vital hub, hosting competitive matches and social events. As we look to the future, we remain committed to honoring our history while fostering the spirit of cricket on French Island.
